Vlade Divac net worth & biography:
At 7 feet 1 in, he played centre and was known for his passing abilities. Divac was among the initial group of European basketball players to transfer to the NBA in the late 1980s and was named one among the 50 Best Euroleague Subscribers. Divac was also the primary player produced “and trained” outside America to play in over 1,000 matches in the NBA. On August 20, 2010, Divac was inducted into the FIBA Hall of Fame in acknowledgement of his play in international contest.
Besides being discovered for his basketball skills, Divac is also called a humanitarian, helping kids in his native state of Serbia, as well as in Africa. On October 16, 2008, Divac was made a government advisor in Serbia for humanitarian problems. On February 2, 2009, he was elected President of the Serbian Olympic Committee to get a 4-year period. Divac received a prestigious honor in the World Sports Humanitarian Hall of Fame.
Among them was holding a Croatian flag, among the six republics that made up Yugoslavia. Divac asserts which he told the guy which he shouldn’t be waving that flag, since this is a triumph for Yugoslavia. Divac promises the guy formed a derogatory comment concerning the Yugoslav flag, at which point Divac got his flag from him. This occurred during an extremely tense time where nationalistic pride was threatening to tear Yugoslavia apart and ignite a war. The taking of the flag made Divac a hero to Serbs, as well as a villain to Croatians. Divac has said that he didn’t mean it as an act against Croatia and he could have taken away a Serbian flag if a Serb lover had done the same.
